The person, who was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity, says the films include "Edge of Darkness" starring Mel Gibson.
The contracts are offered to independent producers with no ties to the major Hollywood studios involved in ongoing labor talks. The current contract expires on June 30.

Paris Hilton' Parents: Benji Is the Real Deal
Paris Hilton's parents have gone on record to say that they think her new boyfriend, Benji Madden, is "the real thing", and that they believe their daughter is "genuinely in love for the first time".Hilton and the Good Charlotte rocker have been inseparable since they got together earlier this year, just days after Madden split from his fiance, Sophie Monk. Discussing their daughter's latest romance, Hilton's father Rick Hilton told reporter Robin Leach, "He's the perfect example of 'don't judge a book by its cover'. He's polite, well-mannered - [he] even calls me sir! We love him like family already. Benji doesn't drink, doesn't smoke and is a healthy vegan!"The heiress' mother, Kathy, adds, "He's changed her life - and I really think she's genuinely in love for the first time. He's so good to her and for her. We couldn't be happier for them. This has honestly become the real thing."Hilton's parents also revealed that they've already given the couple their blessing, if they decide they want to get married. "Since they've been together Paris has changed so much. She's calmed, stopped running and now has a very real purpose - and it's beautiful to see two wonderful people so perfect together. It's a great love match and I have a funny feeling it's going to go all the way, and we've already given it our approval!"Photo courtesy of Warner Music.

Teach indigenous history
The fear of teaching children about Australia's indigenous history needs to be eradicated before reconciliation can be achieved in Australia, says Powderfinger frontman Bernard Fanning. The rock band took a break from preparations for next month's national theatre tour to visit Lourdes Hill College in Brisbane's east, as part of reconciliation week.
R. Kelly Trial: Woman To Testify That She Had Sexual Encounter With Kelly And Girl In Videotape
A woman will testify at R. Kelly's upcoming child-pornography trial that she had a three-way sexual encounter with Kelly and the allegedly underage girl shown in the videotape at the center of the case, the Chicago Sun-Times reported on Saturday (May 3). Jury selection for the long-delayed case is scheduled to begin Friday.
In the case, prosecutors claim to have identified the girl in the videotape, who is now in her 20s. Kelly's lawyers are planning to argue — and the alleged victim will reportedly testify — that she is not the girl in the tape, according to the Sun-Times.
But the new witness could weaken that defense, since she will identify the girl — and claim the girl was underage — sources reportedly told the paper.
"She was involved in a threesome with [the girl] and R. Kelly," one source reportedly said.
Lawyers involved in the case declined to comment to the paper, citing a gag order. The witness' testimony was among the items discussed in secret hearings last month before Judge Vincent Gaughan, who closed the hearings to the public and sealed many court filings (several news organizations have attempted to unseal the proceedings and documents). At one of those hearings, Gaughan said the new testimony would be admissible at trial, sources said.
Kelly was charged with 21 counts of child pornography in 2002 (seven of which were later dropped) for allegedly videotaping himself having sex with a girl prosecutors said was 14 years old at the time; he pleaded not guilty.
If convicted, Kelly faces up to 15 years in prison.
